Josh Addo-Carr’s time at Canterbury appears over as he prepares to front the Bulldogs board in the wake of his drug-driving scandal. AAP understands the Bulldogs have issued the former State of Origin winger a show cause notice, with his future set to be determined when he appears before club powerbrokers next week.
The saga cast a shadow over the Bulldogs’ return to the finals for the first time since 2016, with Addo-Carr opting to miss the elimination-final loss to Manly rather than spark a media circus. Addo-Carr also caught backlash for misleading Bulldogs officials about the incident, and has previously run afoul of club higher-ups over a brawl at last year’s Koori Knockout competition.
