The Scotland Under-21 skipper moved from Verona in January but could be set for a blockbuster switch.
Wanted Josh Doig is in the mix for a shock move to Lazio in the summer just six months after joining Sassuolo in a £5million deal.
The Scotland Under-21s skipper moved from Verona in January, but faces the nightmare prospect of relegation with his club five points adrift of safety with just four games left in Serie A. However, new Lazio boss Igor Tudor has made signing the former Hibs star a priority for the summer, after working with Doig when he was manager at his former club Verona.
Doig spent a season with Croatian boss Tudor, who was appointed manager of Lazio in March following the resignation of Maurizio Sarri. The 21-year-old has been praised for his performances with Sassuolo despite their dismal form. Since he moved to the club, Doig has only been on the winning side once in the 12 games he's played for them.
