Immigration Minister AlexHawkeMP is expected to make a call on Novak Djokovic's deportation on Thursday which could lead to a mid-tournament eviction.

4BC Radio host Neil Breen has suggested if the government decides to deport him the world number one’s legal team will file an injunction which could result in a mid-tournament deportation.

Despite Judge Anthony Kelly's decision, counsel representing the government said the Immigration Minister was considering using a personal power which could still see him deported. If Minister Hawke chooses to send Djokovic home, he will be banned from returning to Australia for three years. His legal team will file an injunction, which will be heard tomorrow. Djokovic will be drawn to play in Oz Open as top seed.He will then play, meaning he could be thrown out mid-tournament if court upholds Minister’s decision. Fun times ahead 2/2Political Journalist Paul Bongiorno has also reported the Immigration Minister will decide to deport Djokovic on Thursday.

“While I went home after the interview to isolate for the required period, on reflection, this was an error of judgement and I accept that I should have rescheduled this commitment,” he wrote on Instagram. The form asks arrivals if they have travelled in the 14 days prior to their arrival in Australia and Djokovic ticked “no” despite travelling from Serbia to Spain within two weeks of his flight touching down in Melbourne.
