A judge has dismissed the legal challenge of public housing tower residents forced to move as part of a government housing plan.
A class action raised by public housing tower residents has been thrown out of the Supreme Court .Justice Melinda Richards said the residents could re-file their case under different legal arguments.
Last year, the government announced plans to knock down and rebuild 44 aging high-rise towers across the city. Justice Richards said she would leave the door ajar for the residents' case to continue, saying she would consider giving them the chance to re-file their case using different legal arguments.
