Lawyers for UR Pride sought the injunction, arguing it could cause teachers to out or misgender children and violates the Charter.

The government said its education policy “has the strong support of a majority of Saskatchewan people, in particular, Saskatchewan parents.” It added the court’s ruling has caused concern and uncertainty.
