A minivan can be seend well inside the front doors of the World of Little League Museum along Route 15 in South Williamsport after crashing into it Sunday morning.WILLIAMSPORT - A Lycoming County judge is considering a motion to dismiss the attempted homicide charge against the woman accused of ramming her minivan into the World of Little League Museum in July.
On July 3 she drove her minivan into the museum, sending glass flying, injuring a staff member and forcing the evacuation of dozens of visitors. Museum coordinator Melissa Mull suffered a cut on a hand from flying glass but no one was seriously injured, she said. Salazar did not take a substantial step to commit homicide, she claimed,He pointed out that after the van stopped inside the museum and as Mull approached it to see if the driver had suffered a medical issue, it was driven forward into a wall.
Besides the attempted homicide and risking a catastrophe counts, Salazar, 57, of Williamsport, is charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, criminal trespass and criminal mischief.
