Mr Gray cropped up in Bishop’s Instagram feed months ago but a leaked guest list for an exclusive dinner appears to have confirmed the pair are romantic partners. According to the Daily Mail, Mr Gray was listed as Bishop’s partner on the guest list for the Australian Grand Prix Glamour on the Grid dinner on Wednesday night, although the couple were unable to attend the event. The confirmation sparked a media frenzy as journalists combed through Bishop’s Instagram account and noted that the ANU Chancellor first shared an image of Gray as far back as July last year, when the pair attended another glitzy event hosted by fashion brand Haculla.In January, the 67-year-old former deputy Liberal leader and foreign affairs minister shared a video of an “outback” getaway with Mr Gray. Very little public information is available about Mr Gray, unlike Bishop’s more high-profile ex Mr Panton, a well-known Sydney property developer. Notoriously, Panton allegedly told Bishop the relationship was over while the couple were dining at the popular Eastbank restaurant in Sydney’s CBD back in 2022. “I’m going to be focused on living in Manly and Melbourne for the foreseeable future,” Panton later said in a statement to The Sydney Morning Herald.“I wish Julie all the best in her ongoing stellar career.” Since retiring from politics ahead of the 2019 Federal election, Bishop has reinvented herself as a university chancellor, a brand ambassador for David Jones and one of Australia’s leading fashion influencers. She even scored an invite to the coronation of King Charles in 2023 and has become a front row regular at Australian Fashion Week.
