and is unlike anything else out there. “With gifting, it’s all about finding that unique and special thing—a twist on a classic that makes it feel new and fresh,” Maisonette’s co-founder Sylvana Ward Durrett says. “We thought, why not take a staple, a cotton onesie, but make it 100% organic and super soft, and splash a funny fashion phrase on the front of it.
” That’s where the conversation began, and the Maisonette team loved being tasked with coming up with all of the slogans. "We tapped into industry-insider sayings for the collection, and of course pop culture references,” Durrett adds. "My favorite is the slogan that reads: ‘Cry, but make it fashion.’ It’s the juxtaposition of the glamour ofwith the unglamorous nature of new motherhood.
