I need the hat, too!,” Reid cheerfully shouted at a group of Chiefs personnel.
Minutes later, the Chiefs safety, who signed with Kansas City after spending his first four seasons with the Texans, proudly stood outside his locker stall wearing his AFC West champions T-shirt emblazoned with “Conquered the West” across the front.
"This game had so much nostalgia that I’ll remember forever," Reid said."Playing against my old team in the city I started my career in, against the college offense I ran in college with Pep Hamilton and we get to win the AFC West on top of that and do it in an overtime game. It’s a win I’ll remember the rest of my life."
Reid led the Chiefs with six solo tackles in a game where his defense allowed at least three touchdowns for a third straight week. Although the Chiefs came into Houston as 14-point favorites, Reid expected to be in for a fight to clinch the division.
