Police announced the charges Monday, after someone reported the threats.

Swatara Township police said they were notified Monday of the social media post, which indicated threats against “the Steelton-Highspire School District” and Rowland Intermediate School, in the Harrisburg School District. Police did not release the number, ages or genders of the youths who were charged through the Dauphin County Juvenile Court system. The charge cited by police was “terroristic threats.”
