Kai Jones' status as a member of the Charlotte Hornets this upcoming season is uncertain, sources told Roderick Boone of the Charlotte Observer.

Jones, whose social media posts have raised concern, has not participated in any optional training sessions this offseason among Hornets players. The Hornets drafted Jones with the 19th pick in the first round in 2021. They currently have a $4.69 million team option for the 2024-25 season.
