A 19-year-old West Australian man is facing multiple charges after allegedly severing his father's arm with a samurai sword.A 19-year-old Kalgoorlie man accused of cutting his father's arm off with a samurai sword during an alleged domestic violence incident in Western Australia's Goldfields has been granted bail.
Mr Crispe said text messages tendered as evidence showed Mr Nybo was behaving in an angry manner towards his client. Mr Crispe told the court Mr Tinidad was acting in self-defence and that Mr Nybo had raised a baseball bat as if to hit him first.He told court the case was serious, but said Mr Trinidad was a "reluctant participant" in the incident.Significant family support, an employment offer letter, and a favourable report from the Department of Communities were also factors considered by Magistrate Woo in granting Mr Trinidad bail.
