Results of the voter survey provided a boost for the US VIce President as she kicked off her presidential campaign in a key state.
US Vice President Kamala Harris holds a slim lead over Republican presidential challenger Donald Trump following President Joe Biden's decision to abandon his re-election bid, new polling shows.
The nationwide polling held on Monday and Tuesday showed Harris headed Trump 44 per cent to 42 per cent, a difference within the 3-percentage-point margin of error. "In this campaign, I promise you, I will proudly put my record against his any day of the week," Harris said. It was her first campaign rally since she jumped into the race just two days ago with Biden's endorsement.
