Kanye West's pushback to paparazzi may cost him.
A widely circulated video showed West leaving his daughter’s basketball game and becoming irritated with the paparazzi. In a first engagement, he argues with a man, essentially begging for privacy. From behind his camera phone, the man reminds Ye that he’s in a public place, and suggests that if he wants to be with his kids, he should do so at home.Later, he approaches a woman in a car, who reminds him that “he’s a celebrity.” He then grabs her phone and tosses it into the street.
Deputies from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department were called to the scene at around 4:30 pm, and a source told the outlet that he was the “named suspect in a battery investigation.”, the “head of architecture” for West’s Yeezy brand. Yeezy lost its clothing and sportswear distribution last year after he went on a series of podcasts and made controversial statements.
