Michael Pugh , the Katter's Australia Party candidate for the Townsville seat of Mundingburra , has revealed details of his criminal past.

Michael Pugh, the Katter's Australia Party candidate for the Townsville seat of Mundingburra, said he pleaded guilty to break and enter as well as stealing with violence in the early 2000s.Mr Pugh said he always planned to tell voters about his criminal past before the October election.Mr Pugh said the KAP was aware of his criminal record before he was selected as a candidate."I stand by the KAP relocation sentencing policy one hundred per cent," Mr Pugh said.

"Firstly I support Castle Law but to be brutally honest I'm probably very fortunate that that Castle Law wasn't in at the time or I may not be here today to be a father or to tell you my story," Mr Pugh said.
