The Prince and Princess of Wales' bedroom in the luxurious Apartment 1A wasn't where most people expected, as William and Kate's sleeping arrangements adhere to royal protocol
Kate Middleton and Prince William 's former sleeping arrangements at Kensington Palace have been reported, and some royal fans were surprised to find that the couple didn't share a traditional upstairs bedroom like most families.
Rather than upstairs, the main bedroom the couple shared was unusually on the ground floor of the apartment, while the upstairs was used mainly by their staff. Because it's a royal residence, it's obvious that the 'apartment' isn't a standard living space in terms of the interior, either. It's long been known how important it is for the Wales' to maintain some sort of privacy, especially for their young children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six.
