The joint letter has put pressure on Nicola Sturgeon's husband Peter Murrell, chief executive of the SNP, to publish how many members have a vote in the leadership contest.
Two SNP leadership candidates have demanded the party reveal how many members will receive a vote in the bitter contest.
SNP headquarters has as a result faced claims the contest between Forbes, Regan and Humza Yousaf lacks transparency. She added: “We have previously reached out to the National Secretary, Lorna Finn, with a request for this information. However, we have yet to receive a response, which has prompted us to address this matter through a formal open letter.
