Kate Middleton was 'left alone' at party because 'no one recognised her', butler reveals
Kate Middleton was once reportedly left standing awkwardly alone in the middle of Prince Charles' 60th birthday party according to a butler, as the now Duchess of Cambridge was yet to become a household name.
The Duchess has found her niche with family and parenting charities, and was recently announced as the new royal patron of the Rugby Football Union, so it seems unthinkable to imagine the mum of three as simply the shy girlfriend of Prince William standing in the corner of a room. The Duke of Edinburgh - Prince Philip's - royal butler Grant Harrold has now revealed he saw the Duchess standing alone at the event and no one was even trying to engage her in a conversation.
"And nobody was talking to her or going near her because they didn’t know who she was or recognise her."
