Beloved musician Missy Higgins has delivered a powerful speech after becoming the latest inductee into the ARIA Hall of Fame.
One of Australia's most beloved musicians has issued a heartfelt plea to strengthen the country's music industry, after being inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame on Wednesday night.
"The young singer-songwriter just starting out won't be as fortunate as me," she said, recalling her rapid rise to stardom in 2004."We can't lose Australian stories: we lose that, we lose who we are." They sweeped up the awards for Best Group and Best Rock Album after releasing their first studio album - Pratts & Pain - in February.
