Ashley Cain and Kelsey Parker have opened up on the importance of speaking about grief ahead of the release of a new MTV series. 'For me, the grief doesn’t get any smaller. It stays like this. It’s always there. I believe we grow around it.'
Tom died from a brain tumour on March 30, 2022 – and on his first anniversary came the launch of MTV Faces, a new series which sees Ashley speak to others affected by the loss of a loved one.
‘For me, the grief doesn’t get any smaller. It stays like this. It’s always there. I believe we grow around it. Kelsey says having an open conversation around grief is ‘so important’ and she agreed to be on the new series immediately ‘We’re here wearing double denim,’ Ashley grins, before adding: ‘Talking about it for me has been a great way to acknowledge and accept what happened. It’s also helped me because I know I’ve helped other people by talking … If you can help one person in a day, make one person smile or feel better, you’ve done your job.’
