Kendall Jenner is still embracing hot girl summer with this NYFW street style look
Last night while attending a birthday party in New York City, Kendall Jenner looked like a hologram plucked from the noughties in a tube dress paired with a red Gucci shoulder bag and matching kitten heels by Amina Muaddi. Except, Jenner’s tube dress was not actually a dress but rather a skirt from the spring 1999 Dolce & Gabbana collection. The piece was sourced by stylist Dani Michelle, who transformed it into a body-skimming dress.
These kinds of DIY moments are rare, but not unheard of in fashion. Back at the 2019 Met Gala, Brandon Maxwellto make it afterparty-ready. At the 2002 VMAs, Christina Aguilera wore a Missoni scarf as a top. Johnny Valencia of Pechuga Vintage created a corset out of a Vivienne Westwood Gold Label dress into a corset for Ashley Graham, which later appeared invideo. Not only does Jenner’s look fit like a globe, it has a great story behind it.
