Kenneth Irving, the former chief executive of Irving Oil, has listed his sprawling family retreat in Maine for $10 million
The former oil exec’s property includes 7,700 feet of lake frontage, a 6,500-square-foot main house and a 250-square-foot cabinIn a tiny town in Maine, a member of one of Canada’s richest families spent two decades creating a retreat complete with a suspension bridge to a swimming spot and a summer camp-like latrine for guests. Now he’s putting the place on the market for $10 million.
Kenneth Irving, the 60-year-old former chief executive of Irving Oil, declined to discuss how much he spent on the property. “I never did the calculations on if it was commercially wise, I was just creating a place for my family to create memories,” he explained.
