The teenager who has been charged over the shooting deaths of two people at protests in the US city of Kenosha is just one of a number of armed people who have taken to the streets to oppose anti-racism protesters.
Much of Mr Rittenhouse's Facebook page was devoted to praising law enforcement, with references to Blue Lives Matter, a movement that supports police.
Earlier in the night, Mr Rittenhouse was interviewed by conservative media outlet The Daily Caller while standing outside a boarded-up building. Mr Rittenhouse also appeared to be with a group of men seen roaming the streets and talking to police. "Everybody involved was out after the curfew. I'm not going to make a great deal of it, but the point is the curfew's in place to protect," he said.
