Lamykel Antonio Jones, 30, of Birmingham, is being held in the Jefferson County Jail.
Leeds police say a murder suspect will eventually be on his way back to Kentucky after he was caught following a traffic chase.
He is currently being held without bond in Jefferson County Jail awaiting extradition. He also faces felony eluding, certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm, obstructing justice using a false identity, drug possession and first degree marijuana possession. According to police, Jones gave false information to conceal his real name. It was later they discovered he was wanted in Kentucky on the murder and drug charges.
