Kettering's Wicksteed Park is set to unveil a new garden wheel ride this weekend. and will provide "stunning views out across the attraction" and the surrounding Northamptonshire countryside.
The ride, which can accommodate up to 72 passengers, is situated at the top end of the park and is included in the price of a wristband. “We’re incredibly excited to be able to officially launch the new Garden Wheel ride and for it to welcome its first passengers,” said Sam Towers, Operations Manager.
“It will provide an entirely new dimension to the visitor experience and offer an incredible bird’s eye view of the Park. Since its launch back in 1921, Wicksteed Park has been at the forefront of providing people of all ages and backgrounds with a great day out."The Garden Wheel is a fantastic addition and we’re sure it will become a firm favourite with visitors.
It will also create a unique experience for wedding couples and their reception guests. The Garden Wheel is part of an ongoing programme of investment in the park. This has included the launch of the new Galaxy Invaders ride, Meerkat Manor, Wicky Bear’s Theatre and Wicky’s Farmyard over the past two years. Entry to the park is free but ride and attraction tickets can either be purchased individually at £3 per person or, alternatively, day wristbands are available at £22 for unlimited access to all rides and attractions - with the exception of Wicky’s Play Factory.
