Markson revealed on Tuesday Mr Rudd attempted to draft Mr Morrison to help with the Trump administration. Picture: Adam Taylor/PMO “My understanding is that Morrison won’t give up his new business ventures and is unlikely to accept any formal role as a special envoy that would mean representing the Albanese Government,” Markson said.
Mr Rudd's bid to improve relationships with the Trump administration comes as he struggles with backlash to his previous comments about the US’s next president. The Minister for Climate Change expressed similar views about Trump in a book published in 2021 titled “On Charlatans”.“His incoherent response to the COVID-19 pandemic has cost hundreds of thousands of lives. He clearly put narcissistic self-interest ahead of his country.”
“We don’t need pictures of Scott Morrison on our wall, but we do need to be able to war-game their moves.
