Actor Kevin Spacey pleaded not guilty on Thursday to charges of sexually assaulting three men a decade or more ago.star - whose name was given as Kevin Spacey Fowler - said “not guilty” when each of the charges were put to him at London’s Central Criminal Court, known as the Old Bailey.
“Thank you my Lord,” he told the judge at the end of the hearing after he was granted unconditional bail.It was his first chance to formally answer five charges relating to offenses against the men.He was also charged with one count of causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent.
In a news release earlier this year, Britain’s Crown Prosecution Service said that the offences took place between 2005 and 2013 in London and Gloucestershire.Credit:Spacey’s lawyer previously said the actor “strenuously denies” the allegations. The actor, who ran London’s Old Vic theatre between 2004 and 2015, made no comment as he left court on Thursday.
