NRL: Broncos gun fullback Reece Walsh has exploded at Corey Oates after they made an error in their lost to the Titans in round 22.
Walsh was clearly at fault in this spat that occurred in the final quarter after Walsh fired a ridiculous bullet pass on a first tackle scrum play that the veteran winger understandably couldn’t handle from close range. But Walsh still jumped straight into Oates and the big winger had every right to take offence. Not blow up like he did.
I will personally never understand how any fan would ever want to go to a game and boo their own team regardless, even after an ordinary performance. “I love this club and everyone in it … so it was probably the hardest decision I’ve had to make in my career so far.”WHY CAN’T DOGS PLAY EVERY HOME GAME AT BELMORE?And wouldn’t you love to see the Dogs play every home game at Belmore?22-18 win over a gallant Raiders. While you had to give every player credit for going after the game like their lives depended on it, the Dogs’ skipper was a standout with two inspirational tries and a tremendous try assist.
You just look at the way Hasler has this backline firing with the likes of Keano Kini and Jojo Fifita leading the charge, while veteran Kieran Foran has turned back the clock. As good a coaching effort as it was the previous week from Cameron Ciraldo to ambush the Broncos at Suncorp, the Titans’ belting was just as impressive for mine given the Broncos knew this was their last chance but the Titans blew them off the park.
No, it should be a topic of discussion for the people in charge refereeing at the NRL to sort out and get some bloody consistency with the punishment. But if it was, how in the hell does Nelson escape with just a penalty?DID TEDDY’S REPUTATION SAVE HIM FROM THE BIN? On a weekend of upsets, what about the Dragons’ win over the Storm to break a 25-year hoodoo in Melbourne?A week ago the Dragons were spanked 46-10 by the Panthers.
There is no player with a more dangerous short kicking game, and the continued comparisons to Allan Langer are bang on the money.
