When the book of regret is written on this sad Broncos season, the first sentence will be: Why didn't you relocate to our neighborhood, Mr. Rodgers?
I think the Broncos would easily have two or three more wins than we do now if we had Aaron Rodgers at quarterback. He would have been much cheaper for the Broncos via trade from Green Bay, with a much shorter contract. Even if the acquisition of Rodgers had failed, we could see the light at the end of the tunnel, knowing the relationship would be over soon. With Russell Wilson, we have him four seasons, at minimum. That’s an eternity in the NFL.
Jesus couldn’t have changed water into wine behind the Broncos offensive line. Unless something happens very, very soon to improve the protection of Wilson, we are all in for a long season, and he will not be around to see the end of it. Those pass-rushers are big. Russ isn’t.: Pray for divine intervention. Without it, the Broncos might not score 30 points in a game ever again.
Maybe we can coax Mark Schlereth out of the broadcast booth to coach the Broncos. The idea worked for Indianapolis, didn’t it?: I like the way you think. Know the real beauty of the idea? Schlereth will be at the stadium, working the game for FOX. Should the Raiders lead after two quarters, we should tell Hackett to go home and let “Stink” come out of the booth to coach the second half.
I remember when Kiszla ran a contest years ago. First “prize” was sitting with him at a Broncos game. Last place was sitting with him for the entire season.: The Broncos keep losing and I might be able to buy a whole row of seats in the 500 level of the stadium to watch the Chargers in the home finale for no more than it costs to fill my car with gas. I’ll save you a ticket if you buy the beer for everybody.
