A lot of people have a problem with a little lip gloss.
After a couple of years of Kim Kardashian West getting more than her fair share of mom-shaming over letting her eldest daughter, North West, wear makeup — perhaps you&aposll recall the neon-orange eyeliner she wore to a taping of Saturday Night Live or the red lipstick she wore in the 2018 family Christmas photos, both of which brought on inordinate internet wrath — it seemed that would no longer be an issue when husband Kanye West decided to establish a no-makeup rule for the six-year-old.
On Thursday, December 26, Kardashian West posted a series of photos to Instagram from Christmas Eve, starting off with a solo shot of North. In it, she&aposs wearing a sparkly pink suit, her hair in two cute knots with a couple of loose tendrils framing her face. But followers focused on her lips and what appeared to be a pale pink lip gloss; in fact, North was holding a Kylie Cosmetics lip color in her manicured hands.
"You need to quit letting North at 6 or 7 years old keep wearing Lip Stick!!!!! It is NOT cute anymore!!!" one person commented. Another wrote,"Why does she look 16 here? stop forcing your young ones to glam up for likes. yuck. let them be kids." Yet another said,"Why is North wearing make up @kimkardashian ??? Are your kids not allowed to be kids???" And a fourth of many wrote,"Too early for a child to wear makeup... let children be children for once.
The makeup wasn&apost the only thing commenters were concerned about, however. Kardashian West wrote in the caption that North had the stomach flu but wanted to go to the party nonetheless.
As is usually the case when she gets judgemental comments on her photos, Kardashian West hasn&apost responded to those who had a problem with her letting North wear makeup and go to the party while sick — and that&aposs entirely understandable. While everyone is entitled to their opinions, when it comes to a stranger&aposs parenting choices, those unsolicited opinions aren&apost welcome.
