King Charles and Queen Camilla were whisked away by security during a visit to the Channel Island of Jersey, after concerns were raised about a security threat to the royals. The royal couple were visiting the Jersey Expo on Monday, when they were pulled away by royal aides after a small issue of concern was raised.
Royal security scare. However, it was a false alarm and the pair resumed events after a brief pause. Buckingham Palace declined to comment on the incident, according to Reuters. Charles and Camilla travelled to Jersey as part of their first visit to the Channel Islands — which are Crown Dependencies off the northwest coast of France — since the King acceded to the throne. The couple kicked-off their tour by attending a special sitting of the States Assembly and the Royal Court.
