King Charles’ upcoming coronation on May 6 will be “shorter” than Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation in 1953, says Associate Professor Cindy McCreery.
“It took something like 45 minutes for the entire procession to pass any one stationary point,” Ms McCreery told Sky News Australia.
“So there are going to be fewer people involved but it’s still a very complex operation, and I think that we can expect to see a really probably military-style event as we’ve become used to with the British Royal family. “It is one that’s going to involve many more volunteers and ordinary people than previous coronations.”
