King Charles’ visit to France has been cancelled due to the ongoing protests in the country, the French Government has announced

Buckingham Palace said the King and Queen Consort “greatly look forward to the opportunity to visit France as soon as dates can be found”. Bordeaux Town Hall was set ablaze on Thursday amid protests there, however it is not clear who was responsible for the fire. Union representatives of French workers responsible for ceremonial trappings, like red carpets, have said its members would not prepare a welcome for the King and Queen Consort when they arrive on Sunday.
