Buckingham Palace has announced a reshuffle to the regimental military roles held by members of the Royal Family.
King Charles has appointed the Queen Consort Camilla to the most prestigious role, the Colonel of the Grenadier Guards.
She will replace the Duke of York, Prince Andrew, who was stripped of the position over his sexual assault lawsuit. Kate Middleton has become the Colonel of the Irish Guards, the role previously held by her husband, William. The Prince of Wales has taken over the role of the Colonel of the Welsh Guards and the King will remain Colonel in Chief of all regiments.
