King Charles is planning to lead the Royal Family at their annual Easter Sunday church service in a public show of unity, amid incredibly testing times for the royals.
King Charles is set to lead the Royal Family on Easter Sunday in a massive show of support for Kate Middleton who publicly announced she has been diagnosed with cancer on Friday evening.
Queen Camilla will head The Firm at the annual Royal Maundy Service, handing out the Royal Maundy gifts on behalf of her husband. Kensington Palace said Kate continued to have a "positive mindset for her recovery" and is in "good spirits". The princess said she had assured her children that she is "well and getting stronger every day".
"The King is very much hoping he will be able to make the Easter church service but will of make a final decision on the day." Post-surgery tests revealed the presence of cancer though. Rumours about Kate began to circulate further after William suddenly withdrew from a memorial service for his godfather, the late King Constantine of Greece on February 27.
In a brave speech recorded by the BBC in Windsor on Wednesday, the princess gave a message of hope for others fighting their own battles, saying: "For everyone facing this disease, in whatever form, please do not lose faith or hope. You are not alone."
