The Royal Christmas Broadcast, delivered nearly every year since 1932, addresses social, political and technological trends as well as providing rare insight into the personal reflections of the monarch.who passed away aged 96 in September. He noted that this Christmas came at a “time of great anxiety and hardship, be it for those around the world facing conflict, famine or natural disaster, or for those at home finding ways to pay their bills and keep their families fed and warm” and celebrated the “humanity of people throughout our nations and the Commonwealth who so readily respond to the plight of others.”
