KitchenAid teased fans last week suggesting it was going to unleash a “world-first” collaboration with a major Australian brand. And at 9am on Friday the secret was out: The fashion house Alemais helped design a pastel-coloured stand mixer and bowl for the company, which is now retailing for $1,199.
Lesleigh Jermanus, the co-founder and creative director behind Alemais, has drawn upon two decades of fashion experience to breathe life into this culinary masterpiece. “We believe the kitchen is the heartbeat of the home, where we come together, where life unfolds,” she said. “Crafting this piece for your kitchen, we sought to capture the very essence of what we hold dear in life - boundless joy, mouthwatering cuisine, and the vibrant tapestry of nature.
