A 25-year-old man has been charged after a knife was pulled on a Darwin bar worker on Wednesday night.

Police say they have charged a 25-year-old man for being armed with an offensive weapon after the incident in Darwin’s CBD on Wednesday night.

Northern Territory Police charged a man after he allegedly pulled a knife on a bar worker in Darwin just days after a fatal incident. Picture: Mark Brake Keith Kerinaiua, 19, has been charged with Mr Laverty's murder. He was on bail at the time of the incident after being charged with aggravated assault with a bladed weapon.

A survey released by the council this month showed more than 90 per cent of businesses surveyed believed social issues and crime had become worse in the past six to 12 months."Over 70 per cent of people say they have been spat on. Over 30 per cent of people say they had physical assaults on themselves. Those physical assaults include threats with edged weapons," Property Council NT executive director Ruth Palmer told Sky News Australia.
