Ra Chapman, a Korean-Australian adoptee, explores her identity as a Korean living in a white household in the TV series White Fever.

Chapman left Korea at the age of four to live with her "very Aussie" adoptive parents in South Australia."I just saw myself as being part of the Chapman family … all I was concerned with was to belong."

Much like Jane, who buries the letter from her birth family in a box under her bed, Ra delayed meeting her birth father until she was 30 years old. She says one of the things that appealed to her was that it was a space where the language she spoke wasn’t important."Coming from another country and having English as my second language – I think about it as not having to use the language but using your body to express the emotions and stories."
