Kris Boyd has branded the VAR decision to chop off Kemar Roofe's opening goal for Rangers a 'shocker'.
The video technology stepped in after the Light Blues attacker burst the net with a fine finish. Cyriel Dessers had robbed Gustaf Lagerbielke before setting up his team-mate to smash the ball beyond Joe Hart. Referee Don Roberston initially awarded the goal but VAR stepped in asking the man in the middle to check the monitor. The whistler then called for a foul and the goal was chopped. Rangers were made to pay as Kyogo Furuhashi burst the net with a fine finish just moments later.
At half time ex-Rangers striker fumed at the decision as he questioned Roberston for the incredible U-turn, after initially awarding a goal. The pundit, told Sky Sports said: "It's a shocking decision. You can see Lagerbielke kicks the back of Dessers. All we hear is we want to see more goals and more entertainment, that there is a goal. How that can be brought back for a foul is incredible.
