Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD) said she was open to being the 2024 GOP vice presidential candidate, especially if it meant helping former President Donald Trump return to the Oval Office.
While she has skirted answering questions regarding her own 2024 bid for the White House, she quickly affirmed that she would consider the request to be the Republican presidential nominee’s running mate.“I will tell you that, of course, I would consider it,” Noem told Hannity. “I think everybody should consider it. Our country is breaking in front of our very eyes today, and everybody should be part of putting it back on its foundation.
Noem declared her support for Trump as the potential GOP nominee: “If President Trump is back in the White House, I would do all I can to help him be successful.” When asked if she had thought about her own presidential bid one day, she maintained that her focus was on South Dakota.The governor touted her state’s thriving economy and support for workers who can have their licenses immediately recognized by South Dakota.
“If they are a realtor, cosmetologist, barber, if they are an electrician, plumber, dentist, we will recognize it immediately, and they can get to work,” Noem said. “We are also training people on the job so they can come here and fill a job position and immediately get licensed while working. It’s a fantastic opportunity to start a new life in South Dakota where people enjoy being free every single day.
