Kroger releases more details about the contract offer that has been turned down by Columbus union workers who have authorized a strike.

The contract would set starting pay to $14.25 per hour and include ratification bonuses of $2,500 for department heads, assistant department heads and full-time top rate associates, the company said. Department leaders and assistant department leaders would receive an additional 35 cents per hour next February.Kroger also says eligible workers pay $141 a month for family healthcare coverage, far below the national average.
