Sky News host Paul Murray says the federal government is “addicted” to taxes and is the single “biggest” tobacco addict in the country.
“There is now about $13 billion a year that is raised in tobacco taxes compared to $6 billion which is petrol taxes,” Mr
Murray told Saturday Herald Sun columnist Steve Price.“If we’re going to introduce vice taxes … fair enough but let’s be consistent.”
