The Australian Labor Party has pleaded with voters for money and accused the Liberal Party of “cutting edge online disinformation” before the election has even been announced.
The ALP Assistant National Secretary contacted Labor supporters on Tuesday with a new fundraising campaign to request donations.
"Peter Dutton has got the band back together. He’s just hired Scott Morrison’s disinformation team to complete his foreign digital interference racket," Labor said. The message also warned the party's ability to combat this disinformation campaign hinges on its ability to raise funds now. Labor accused the Liberal Party of “lying” about its agenda despite the fact the election has not been called and the election campaign has not officially begun.
