Industry and Science Minister Ed Husic has opened consultation on Australia’s list of technologies considered critical to the national interest
Australia should be at the forefront of critical technology development, boosting domestic industry and positioning the country as an innovation powerhouse, Industry and Science Minister Ed Husic says.
Minister for Industry and Science Ed Husic is looking for feedback to identify tech sectors that can shape Australia’s future.The 2021 national list featured 63 technologies across seven categories, including advanced materials and manufacturing, artificial intelligence, computing and communications, quantum and biotechnology.
“It is vital we understand and send a clear signal about what technologies we should be focusing on and where our strengths lie – and that is exactly what this consultation is all about.”
