Deputy Opposition Leader Sussan Ley says the Coalition not releasing the 2021 State of the Environment report before the federal election was “not unusual at all”.
Ms Ley hit back at the “Labor Party narrative,” criticising the former government for holding the release of the report.
“I received the report, I commissioned the report, appointed the authors, and it was well and truly in the statutory timeframes and guidelines and not unusual at all in terms of the timing of its release, which was required 14 sitting days after being tabled,” she told Sky News Australia.
