Labor frontbencher Tanya Plibersek has doubled down on the party’s assurance it will not form a minority government with the Greens and won’t be dictated to on climate policy.
Ms Plibersek said Labor was solid on its energy policy after doing “all the research and underpinning work” to settle on its climate target.
Labor needs to win eight seats at the next election to secure government in its own right, but may need to rely on the support of the Greens in the event of a hung Parliament. “The Greens will have a choice between backing an Albanese Labor government or backing a Scott Morrison Liberal government,” she said.
