A former government staffer who was officially warned over an 'unnecessarily provocative' encounter with a Country Liberal Party (CLP) politician will represent Labor in the upcoming Daly by-election.
with opposition member Joshua Burgoyne, who later accused the staffer of verbally abusing him.
Mr Young was employed by the Chief Minister's office as an adviser to Attorney-General Selena Uibo at the time. "My behaviour did not meet the standards of my employer of the Office of the Chief Minister and I unreservedly apologise to the Member for Braitling," he was quoted as saying.In a statement today, Mr Young said his comments towards Mr Burgoyne were in response to a speech Mr Burgoyne had given in Parliament several days prior.
