Sarwar said Labour would 'take an election tomorrow' as his party called for Scots to be given the choice to elect a new government.
Labour will press forward with a motion of no confidence in the Scottish Government despite Humza Yousaf 's resignation.
He insisted Labour would take an election "tomorrow" and claimed Scots should be given the chance to elect the new First Minister. She said: "Like the withdrawn Tory motion, the Labour one has clearly been overtaken by events. Pursuing it would achieve nothing, and would simply mean more parliamentary game-playing.
Mackay added: "We bear no personal animosity to the First Minister or the SNP, and, as Scottish Greens, are already getting back to business."
