Lake Elsinore resident arrested in Oceanside hit-and-run [Breaking]
The suspected driver, a Lake Elsinore resident, was booked into jail on suspicion of felony hit and run in the Sept. 18 crash, said Oceanside police spokesperson Jennifer Atenza.Advertisement
Atenza said the unoccupied car — a blue 2007 Ford Fusion — led investigators to the suspect, who is the registered owner. Atenza added that he confessed to the crime. The pedestrian, a 28-year-old man, was struck about 6:30 p.m. while he was walking across North Redondo Drive mid-block.After the crash, the Police Department released a photo of the suspect’s car, which was captured on a surveillance camera.
